yes i actually was surprised by this. it seemed like it was a lot lower than i thought it should have been, considering the things that i normal eat most days. plus it lowers if i do things like sleeping more?

    2. Which point or points on the daily check list was most helpful to you? why?
i found a lot of them helpful because i realized that i don't do most of them, when i probably should. i only checked two of them and most people would have probably checked a lot more than i did. it showed me that there are somethings that i should probably change and try to fix/improve on.

3.What is one thing you will do to improve your nutrition?
one thing i will do to help improve my nutrition is to try and eat better than i normally do & try to follow the calories listing that was shown for my height and such. i will try to follow a more specific diet that would be better suited for me, and also do somethings to try and improve my strength.

Yes! I need a lot less calories to live than I take in each day. All I would need to do to lose a little bit of weight is decrease my daily caloric intake so that it's less than my active metabolic rate. Because the difference between my BMR and my active metobolic rate is so large, decreasing my daily caloric intake by a couple hundred calories would not be harmful.

    2. Which point or points on the daily check list was most helpful to you? why?

The most helpful point on the daily check list for me was the one about drinking water regularly. I know that I do not drink enough water, especially for my levels of activity. The point about nutritious snacks was also helpful because I know that if I ate more nutritious snacks I wouldn't be as hungry at meals and therefor would eat less.

3.What is one thing you will do to improve your nutrition?

To impove my nutrition I will drink more water on a daily basis. I will drink at least 80oz. of water each day.

    1. Were you suprised by your basal metabolic rate and the difference between that and your active metabolic rate? why or why not?
I wasn't surprised because the level of calories I should take per day is what I thought it should be. Plus I didn't have anything to base the number of calories I should be eating per day so I couldn't compare it to the norm.

    2. Which point or points on the daily check list was most helpful to you? why?
Eating breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It gives you energy that you need to start off your day. Naturally eating three meals a day is helpfull then too.

I should drink more water throughout the day.

  56. Response Questions:
    1. Were you suprised by your basal metabolic rate and the difference between that and your active metabolic rate? why or why not?
Yes I was surprised that my basal metabolic rate was 1503 calories per day and my active metabolic rate was 2852 calories per day. I was surprised because the calorie intake was higher than I expected. However, I wasn't surprised with the large difference between the basal and active metabolic rates as working out allows you to consume many more calories.

    2. Which point or points on the daily check list was most helpful to you? why?
The refueling within 45 minutes following a workout was the most helpful point for me on the daily check list as I often forget to do this. I have wrestling practice from seven to nine in the evening and when I go home I simply finish my homework, watch tv, and go to bed often forgetting to refuel my body after the intense workout.

3.What is one thing you will do to improve your nutrition?
I will eat breakfast everyday as it is very important, even though I am not always hungry in the morning. I will also make a concious effort to refuel my body within 45 minutes after each workout. In addition, I will add a lean source of protein to each of my meals.

No, I'm not really surprised because my BMR (1990 calories per/day) is very close to the normal 2000 range. Also, since I am pretty active, I need a lot more calories to maintain energy levels and weight (3393 calories per/day)

    2. Which point or points on the daily check list was most helpful to you? why?

I will definitely want to drink more water throughout the day (80oz). But also, it would be nice to reduce the fat in my food as well.
